Privacy policy
This is a static reference site. It has no accounts, no forms, no newsletter and no advertising trackers. The list below is not a summary — it is everything.

What we collect
Server access logs. Like virtually every web server, ours records each request. Each log line contains the hostname requested, your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the HTTP status returned, the number of bytes sent, the referring URL if your browser sent one, and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs rotate daily and are kept for 14 days, after which they are deleted. They are used for operating and securing the site — diagnosing errors, spotting abuse, and measuring load. They are not sold, shared, or combined with anything else.
Nothing else. There is no contact form, no sign-up, no comment section, no account and no payment on this site. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, income, credit score or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere on the site to enter one.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own, and uses no local storage or session storage. We have no first-party tracking of any kind.
Affiliate tracking (CJ Affiliate). Pages on this site load a
script from anrdoezrs.net, operated by CJ Affiliate, the network
that administers our advertiser relationships. It is used to credit us when a
reader we referred goes on to apply with a lender. Loading it discloses your
IP address and user-agent to CJ, and CJ may set cookies on its own domains;
that processing is governed by CJ’s privacy policy rather than ours. It
does not read anything you type into the calculators, and we receive no
personal information about you from it — only aggregate counts.
If you click through to a partner (see our advertiser disclosure), that partner’s affiliate network will normally set a cookie on their own domain so the referral can be credited to us. That happens on their site under their privacy policy, not ours.
Third parties
Google Fonts. The site loads two typefaces from
fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Making
that request discloses your IP address and user-agent to Google, and is
governed by Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. It is the only
third-party request any page on this site makes.
No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no Facebook pixel, and no third-party analytics or heatmap product of any kind on this site. The affiliate tracking described above is used to attribute referrals, not to profile readers.
Our data sources are not told about you. Rate data is fetched by our server on a schedule and published as static files. When you load a page, no request reaches the Federal Reserve, Freddie Mac, Optimal Blue or the U.S. Treasury, and none of them learns anything about you.
The calculators
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser in JavaScript. The home price, down payment, rate and other figures you type are never transmitted to our server or to anyone else, are not stored, and disappear when you close the tab.
Hosting
The site is served from our own server in the United States. Pages are served over HTTPS. If you are visiting from outside the United States, your request and the log entry it produces are handled there.
Children
This site is a financial reference aimed at adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — nor, given the above, is there a mechanism by which we could.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a site holds about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, and we hold nothing beyond the access logs described above, which are keyed only to an IP address and expire after 14 days. If you want to make a request about those logs, write to privacy@lendersdata.com with the approximate date and the IP address concerned, and we will search for and remove matching entries where they still exist.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not quietly add tracking and update the page afterwards; where a change affects what is collected, it goes live here first.
