About LendersData

A reference for current U.S. lending rates, built on primary federal data and published with its sources attached.

What this site is

LendersData publishes the current average rates on the products most households borrow with — mortgages, auto loans, personal loans and credit cards — alongside the benchmark and Treasury rates those products are priced against. Each figure is pulled from a federal statistical release or an industry lock index, stamped with the date of the observation, and shown against its own recent history so you can see whether it is high or low by its own standards.

What it is not

It is not a lead generator. There is no form here that asks for your contact details, no rate quote engine, and no “get your personalized rate” funnel. It is not a survey — we do not call lenders and we do not collect quotes. And it is not advice: an average rate tells you what the market looks like, not what you should do.

Why the sourcing is so prominent

Rate content online has a credibility problem. Pages rank for “current mortgage rates” carrying figures with no date, no source and no way to tell whether they describe this week or last quarter — and some are simply the advertised rates of whoever is paying for placement. The remedy is boring and specific: name the source, print the observation date, link the series, and state the limitations. Every number on this site can be checked against its primary release in two clicks, and the methodology page lists the collection procedure, the publication lags and what the data does not cover.

Data access

The full dataset behind every page, including two years of history and the computed comparisons, is available as a single JSON file. It is regenerated on the same schedule as the site. Attribution to the original issuing agency is required by those agencies’ own terms, and FRED® is a registered trademark of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which does not sponsor or endorse this site.

Advertiser disclosure

How this site is funded. LendersData intends to earn revenue from advertising and from affiliate relationships with lenders and financial-product marketplaces. Where a link to a lender or marketplace is a paid or commissioned placement, it is labelled as a partner placement at the point it appears.

What commercial relationships never affect. The rate data. Every figure on this site comes from the federal and industry sources listed in the methodology, and no advertiser can change a published rate, its ordering, or the date attached to it. Rate tables are ordered by loan program, not by payment. Partner placements appear in clearly marked blocks, separate from the data.

What you should assume. That any advertiser on this site wants your business, that the offers you see are not a complete survey of the market, and that you should compare at least three lenders directly — including a local bank and a credit union, which rarely advertise — before signing anything.

Not financial advice

Nothing here is investment, tax or lending advice, and nothing here is an offer of credit. Averages describe a market; they do not describe your situation. Before a transaction, read the Loan Estimate your lender is required to give you, compare the annual percentage rate rather than the note rate, and consult a licensed professional if the decision is a large one.
